In this way, it causes an electron flow between the two different silicon layers as long as the sun rays hit the panel surface. As a result, electrical energy is obtained.

1. Grid Connected (On Grid) Systems

Grid-connected solar energy systems work with the principle of using the electrical energy produced in the panels as soon as it is produced without being stored, or selling the part that will not be consumed. In this system, the electrical energy produced by the panels is converted into alternating current by converting it into single or three phases via inverters. It is transferred to the city grid with a bidirectional electricity meter. For this reason, it is called a grid-connected system. Grid connected systems consist of photovoltaic solar panel, collection box, inverter, grid connection point and bidirectional electricity meter. Thanks to this system, the electricity needs of both buildings and industrial establishments that need high power electricity can be met. Thanks to the automatic mechanism in the system, the excess electrical energy produced in the solar panel is transferred directly to the building. Even if the electrical energy is insufficient for the building, the required amount of electrical energy is automatically drawn from the grid.

Off grid solar energy system is mostly used in off grid locations where electricity is not available. It is used especially in rural areas, in plateaus where it is difficult to transfer electrical energy, in mountain houses, base stations, farms, fields and to meet the electrical energy needed by highway signs. The best and least costly solution to the shortage of electrical energy in such places is achieved through this system.
